The trekking La Porta del Cel will take you in 4 or 5 days to climb the highest peaks of Catalonia and Ariège in France:
Pica d’Estats, Pic de Certascan, Roca Cigalera and Pointe Recou
We will enjoy twenty lakes, highlighting the largest in the Pyrenees, Certascan,
4 refuges to overcome 5,500 meters of elevation in 65 km.
We will walk through the Pyrenean Park of the Three Nations.

The Pyrenean Park of the Three Nations is the union of the natural parks of 3 countries: the Alt Pirineu Natural Park in Catalonia, the Pyrenees Ariégeoises Regional Natural Park in France, the Comapedrosa Communal Natural Park and the Sorteny Valley Natural Park in Andorra, which offer us a spectacular high mountain landscape with a high geological interest, high peaks and a multitude of lakes with a large number of species of unique flora, forest communities, a refuge for rare or endangered animal species and for this reason we must be very respectful of nature.
Explore the highest peaks of Catalonia and Ariège
Walking through 2 countries, this journey will take us almost to the sky when we climb the highest peak in Catalonia: the Pica d’Estats at 3143 m. We will also climb other peaks, such as the Pic de Certascan at 2853 m, the Pointe Recou at 2447 m and the Roca Cigalera at 2667 m.
Dreamy places among the lakes of the Pyrenees
The lakes fill these mountains with blue color, contrasting with the red and white rocks of the slates and granites. From the impressive Certascan Lake, which is the largest natural lake in the Pyrenees, we will pass by the Blue Lakes, the Romedo Lakes, the Estats Lake, the Sotllo Lake, the Baborte Lake and many others in dreamlike places, which take us to walk on both sides of the Pyrenees: Catalonia and Ariége in France.

Yes, the route is marked with paint and landmarks. However, it is recommended to bring a map, GPS or phone to find your way around, especially in case of fog.
